The essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves and flowering tops of the plant and has a warm and spicy fragrance. It is pale yellow in colour, darkening to brown as it ages.
Marjoram is a powerful sedative, it has analgesic and antispasmodic qualities. It relaxes both mind and body. Marjorams’ sedative quality combined with its warming effect makes this an effective oil to soothe and deeply relax.
Blends well with: Lavender, Cedarwood, Bergamot Cypress, Ylang Ylang.
Safety Information:
- Never take internally
- Never use undiluted on the skin. mix with a suitable carrier oil, one drop to 2-3mls of carrier oil
- Do not use during pregnancy
- Should not be used on babies and infants
- Can cause drowsiness, do not drive after being massaged
- Do not use in conjunction with drinking alchole
- Do not use on those with low blood pressure
- Use in moderation
- Keep out of the reach of children
