Is closely relate to Valeriana Officinalis which it shares many qualities. Native to mountainous regions of northan India, also China and Japan.
The essential oil is extracted by steam distillation, it's pale yellow - amber coloured liquid with a heavy sweet woody aroma.
Blends Well With: Lavender, Patchouli, Pine Needle, Vetiver and other spicy oils.

- Never use undiluted on the skin. Mix with a suitable carrier oil, one drop to 3mls of carrier oil
- Never take internally
- Avoid during pregnancy
- Should not be used on babies, infants and children
- Use moderately and dilute thoroughly
- May cause skin irritation to sensitive skins
- If accidentally splashed in the eye, rinse immediately with clean warm water or milk
- Keep out of the reach of children
